Yousef Abu-Taleb stars in CONTINUE 9,8,7..., as his follow-up to the acclaimed Machinima’s zombie web series BITE-ME, and Youtube’s proto web series LONELYGIRL15.
CONTINUE 9,8,7.. is a blend of live-action and animated pixel art that follows an indie video game designer who is battling to overcome a creative block and his severe depression after an accident that took the life of his fiancé.
The film also stars Lauren See, Carly Jones, Rich Young Lee, and Andi Wagner
DIRECTOR”S STATEMENT:
“After meeting Yousef on the set of Machinima’s BITE ME, I was drawn to this project as we both connected over shared stories of our personal mental health battles. For me, it was a struggle with depression, coupled with the complete loss of my creative spirit. Continue 9,8,7... was an exercise to regain that part lost and work through some demons. Thankfully I recovered through the completion of this film and survived as a healthier person. My hope is that those silently struggling might relate to this film in some positive way.”
